Chapter 10.......Scaleaha

I hear the heavy footsteps of guards come loser and closer to my hide-away among the roots.

The ground begins to shake wildly as the guards continue there thorough search.

A large mouse scuttles over me and I squeak causing the guards to come running.

I fell a small hand pull on my shoulder and I open my mouth wide to scream.

The hand claps over my mouth as I'm pulled further under the ground.

"Hstops" I say, my voice mumbled as I speak through the hand of my capture.

"Pleas. I hav to gos somewhr!"

But my capture keeps on walking.

Suddenly I'm dropped to the ground before the feet of what looks like a maid.

I hurridly get to my feet and she nods as if she to wants me to escape.

"Follow me" She says in a voice that reminds me of Sheeka.

I see no way to escape so I follow her along the tunnel and into a narrow room with around fourteen oak doors leading off in all directions.

She leads me in to the fourth on the left.

Its a medium sized room with 3 beds, an oak cupboard and a smooth metal desk.

"This will be your bedroom. You will share it with Maizora and Feskara." The lady says (not sounding as much like a maid as she used to).

She starts to leave but as she reaches the door turns.

"Oh, My name is Rowana Piska. Ali to you. I am in charge of all the girls here as well as being your teacher. And in case you didn't know, this is a secret underground society. We are the protectors of Scaleaha. Your lessons start at seven tomorrow. Bathe and dress in your new uniform which will be on your bed soon. Good luck." And with that, she left.
